unanticipated wow's

We had a great weekend with my inlaws out in southwest Indiana on the farm.  My father in law said to me "I don't think I have ever seen you look this good" - and I've been married to his son for more than 25 years!!!!  Each one of my in laws commented on how good I looked.  And it was awesome, because I had gotten to a mental plateau.  The moral of the story . . .keep your eyes open for the unexpected benefits!

That's great Robin and I know it makes you feel good, great job on the weight loss thus far.

That is fantastic Robin I saw a friend a few nights ago that I had not seen in six years.... he didnt even recognize me!!! hahahaha keep up the fantastic work!!!

That is so sweet!  Made you feel like a million bucks, I'll bet...just the medicine for a mental plateua.    BTW, hubby, the kids, and I were all born and raised (well, the kids mostly raised) in central Indiana. 

no way!  Where in central IN?  DH was born and raised in Snake Run, just east of Fort Branch, just north of Evansville.  We met when he went to Rose Hulman and I went to Indiana State.

I was born in Greencastle, then raised in Plainfield and the west side of Indy.  I used to lay out in the sun on race day and watch the blimp overhead!  Hubby was born and raised in Crawfordsville.  I married him and moved there in 1986, which is where all of our children were born and raised from 1988-2002.  Our families are scattered all over west-central Indiana in Terre Haute, Brazil, Bloomington, Worthington, Spencer, Brownsburg, Indy, etc.   

Holy cow!  DH is Bryan Weber, and is related to all Catholics and half the Protestants in the southwest quarter of the state.   I'll bet there's a connection somewhere! 

Definitely a morale boost isn't it? I am starting to get a few notices but I know I have a long way to go before it really sets in. But I am enjoying the journey that's for sure.

Things like what your father in law said makes wls so worth it.Honestly sometimes I wonder if people who are not obese really know just how low our self esteem can get.
